Time & Location

Nov 24, 2024, 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM

SOULADRONKA, Břevnov 1028, 169 00 Prague 6, Czech Republic

About the event

Accept the invitation to a course organized in cooperation with the studio and club for women: SOULADRONKA

Women are attacked from all sides with advice like: "...be confident", "..you have to love yourself!" or "..don't let negative things get to you" or "...your happiness must not depend on the attitude of those around you"

But HOW do we do it? How do we stand out in a time that puts the cult of SELF-CONFIDENCE on a pedestal? As a result, this advice leads us into a trap... To the point where we feel incapable because we don't know how to do it, we fail in our own eyes because we don't love ourselves, we suffer because we can't accept ourselves...

Mindfulness course for a calm and clear mind – 5 Sunday evenings

Introduction to mindfulness training for greater peace, working with challenging emotions and supporting mental resilience and well-being. The mind and nervous system can be trained like muscles in the body. Our brain is neuroplastic – we can change its settings and functioning, for example in relation to stress, being overwhelmed by repetitive thoughts or various fears. And just like muscles in the body, the mind also needs regularity and time. That is why we invite you to this comprehensive course, in which you will have the support and guidance of a lecturer, space for questions and simple activities for home practice. Jana is known for her kind approach, warmth, humor and has thirty years of experience. She compiles programs so that they are always practically graspable and accessible to a wide population and can be integrated into everyday life.

Come explore together the ability to slow down and stop in a fast and distracted world, tune into the inner and outer world in the present moment, and build greater peace and joy in life. What will the course cover and what will you take away?

  • Five consecutive evenings with a lecturer and simple exercises for home practice.
  • Practical exercises and techniques supporting mental well-being based on developing mindfulness (short meditations, simple breathing exercises, stretching, relaxation).
  • Discussion, space for questions.
  • You will receive a simple booklet with a summary of practical exercises and links to recordings of several meditations.

The course will include, for example, the following topics:

  • The negative tendency of our mind and how to rewrite it.
  • How about overwhelming thoughts.
  • How to deal with challenging emotions (stress, anxiety, anger, etc.).
  • Discovering kindness towards yourself instead of the voice of self-criticism.
  • How to stay calm in difficult conversations with others.
  • Gratitude and joy in life.
  • But I can't meditate, my mind always wanders...

We recommend coming in comfortable clothing (like for yoga or pilates). We will sit and lie on the floor and practice gentle movement.
